Schedule a parent meeting
Once the submitted application is complete, first-time applicant families will be contacted by the Office of Admissions to schedule a meeting with a member of our Early Childhood Faculty. We highly recommend that all parents/guardians attend this meeting, which does not include your child, and lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Schedule a Playgroup
All Early Childhood applicants attend a playgroup as part of the admissions process at the Chicago Waldorf School. Playgroups include a small group of children at the same age level. During the playgroup an Early Childhood teacher will lead the play group in a “circle” and then observe the children during free- play time. An Admissions Office staff member will be available to respond to any questions parent(s)/guardian(s) may have. Playgroups last approximately 45 minutes.
Admission Decision and Notification
Admission decisions are made by Early Childhood faculty. Notification will be sent in writing within 6 weeks or as soon as possible once a decision has been made for late or mid-year applicants.
Children in the Early Childhood program MUST be potty-trained prior to enrolling.
Tuition, Tuition Adjustment, Sibling Discount
Tuition Adjustment is not available for participants in the Early Childhood program. However, sibling discounts are available for students in Early Childhood who attend 5 days (full or half).
Notice of Nondiscrimination Policy
The Chicago Waldorf School does not discriminate against qualified applicants for employment or admissions to the School on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religion, age, or physical disability in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship, tuition adjustment, athletic, and other school-administrated programs.
