Quotes

“We shouldn’t ask: what does a person need to know or be able to do in order to fit into the existing social order? Instead we should ask: what lives in each human being and what can be developed in him or her? Only then will it be possible to direct the new qualities of each emerging generation into society. The society will become, what young people as whole human beings, make out of the existing social conditions. The new generation should not just be made to be what the present society wants it to become.”

Transportation

The Chicago Waldorf School community is made up of families from the neighborhood but also from all areas of the city and north and west suburbs. These families drive their children, have formed car pools or have contacted a service to transport their children to and from school. Other students travel by bicycle, CTA or walk to campus daily.

The CTA Red Line is located 1 1/2 blocks east of campus, and students and faculty use this transportation option often.  We are also close to a number of bus routes.

Current train and bus schedules can be viewed by visiting TransitChicago.com.
