Sibling Discounts
The tuition for 5-day Early Childhood and Grades 1-12 is reduced by 15% for the second student, 40% for the third student, 50% for the fourth student and by 60% for each additional student.
The following fees are due at the time of enrollment, and will be applied to the tuition balance due:

Tuition Payment
All payments will be made through a tuition management company. Tuition can be paid in full or in semi-yearly, quarterly or 10 monthly installments beginning in July 2008.
Tuition Adjustment
To increase flexibility of our tuition structure, the Tuition Adjustment Committee evaluates tuition adjustment applications and decides upon individual tuition agreements. The Board of Trustees sets the total amount available for tuition adjustment. Applications remain confidential and are viewed only by the Tuition Adjustment Committee. The committee informs the families of its decision and the adjusted tuition amount is reflected in an updated contract.

This is a two part application process. Part One is the internal CWS application form which must be completed and returned to the Chicago Waldorf School. The second part is a sample TADS+ form. Please go to tuitionaid.com to apply online at their website. To get an application sent to you please contact Carly Garcia, at 773.828.8454.
When you complete the TADS+ form, please be sure to include our school code: 13069 and a check for $29 for the processing fee. Only only application is needed per family. Then mail the TADS+ application and fee to:

It Takes More Than Tuition
Tuition and fees account for 90% of the total operating budget with the remainder coming from gifts, grants and fund raising activities. All parents, teachers and staff are expected to make appropriate commitments of time, money and creativity to the school. There are many opportunities to participate including:
Gifts to the Annual Fund
Our largest source of non-tuition income, the Annual Fund supports tuition reduction, remedial work, music and foreign language programs, gym and sports activities and virtually every area of school life. Contributions range from $5000 to $5. All families in the school are expected to participate at a level appropriate to their circumstances. Contributions also come from alumni, friends, small business, grandparents and corporations who match donations from their employees.
Participation in Special Events
The Development Committee coordinates a variety of fund raising initiatives. The Holiday Fair, the May Fair and the biennial Spring Auction offer many opportunities to deepen relationships by working with fellow parents and teachers. The Manna Program provides the school with a percentage of the purchase price of gift certificates to local businesses; the magazine drive works similarly. The nationally-marketed Waldorf School Calendar and note cards have been tremendously successful.
Volunteer Service
In addition to fund raising events, parents and teachers support the school by volunteering for many other tasks. The Parent Involvement & Services Form, to be returned with your completed tuition contracts, helps the school match people’s interests, abilities and schedules with opportunities for meaningful work.
