Lincoln Square Early Childhood Center

The Chicago Waldorf School's Early Childhood Center has opened as a vibrant neighbor in the Lincoln Square neighborhood (at 2156 W. Montrose and Lincoln Ave).

Our Early Childhood Center is designed specifically for little people, with special attention to simplicity and imagination. We know from over 40 years of experience that young children flourish and learn best in the comfort of a homelike environment, which offers warmth, security and many opportunities for movement.

The center includes:

  • Pre-kindergarten for children ages 2-3½,
  • Mixed aged Kindergarten for children ages 3½ - 6
  • A second floor Parent Education Center, for parents of the youngest children

With our programs centered on active learning and a strong connection to nature, we are of course thrilled with our new location at the South East corner of Welles Park. We have the good fortune of being neighbors with the Sulzer Library, and a short stroller walk from the Old Town School of Folk Music.
