Early Childhood Application

Instructions for Prospective Families

  1. Click on the Early Childhood Application button above.
  2. Select the "Create Account" link to create username and password.
  3. Type in your username in a "firstnamelastname" format (i.e. johnsmith).
  4. Select the "Create Account" button.
  • Our system may recognize you by your email address.
  • If the system recognizes your email address, your email address will be highlighted after you press "Submit."
  • If this occurs, select the "Forgot Login?" button. You will then be prompted to enter your email address to receive an automatic reply containing your Community Portal username and password.
  • Once you receive a Community Portal username and password you will have access to complete the online application. You can then monitor your student's progress through the admissions process.

Instructions for Current CWS Families

  1. Click on the Early Childhood Application button above.
  2. Please enter your existing Community Portal username and password when asked.

Early Childhood Scheduling Options

Half days (8:00am - 12:00pm) & full days (8:00am - 3:00pm) are offered for children ages 2 - 6 years old at the Lincoln Square campus and ages 3 – 6 years old at the Andersonville.

  • 5 days/week (required for students in their Kindergarten year)
  • 3 days/week (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)
  • 2 days/week (Thursday & Friday)
After care is available from 3:00 - 6:00pm at the Andersonville Campus only.

Early Childhood Application Process

  1. Parent(s) attend a School Tour
    Register Online
  2. Complete the Application (click link above to complete)
    • Submit the application fee of $75
    • Include a photo of your child
  3. Submit a Teacher Recommendation Form if your child was enrolled previously in an early childhood program.

Early Childhood Admissions Process

Upon receipt of a complete application, the Enrollment Office will schedule a playgroup for a small group of applicants and parents/guardians.

Parents may request an individual conversation with a teacher. Teachers may also request an individual meeting and/or class visit following the playgroup.

Admission Decisions are made by the Early Childhood faculty. Notifications will be sent within three weeks of the playgroup or as soon as possible for summer or mid-year applicants.
