Nora’s sun and moon park
10am-3pm

Whether you’re a current family, an alumni community member, or part of the local neighborhood, join us for our annual celebration of spring, featuring a variety of local artisans, restaurants, and craftspeople, as well as music and dancing! As we approach the fair, this page will be your hub for vendor information, volunteer opportunities, and updates.

what is the may fair?

From the days of parking lot fairs, to blocked-off side streets, the Chicago Waldorf May Fair has come a long way to its new home in Nora's Sun and Moon Park.

Traditionally celebrated by Waldorf schools throughout the world, the May Fair is a daylong seasonal festival marking spring. We welcome the school and Andersonville community to celebrate together.

This outdoor festival will feature live entertainment, local artisans and food vendors, and games and activities for families. The iconic centerpiece of all Waldorf May Fairs is the children’s Maypole dance, which will be performed at noon by the 4th grade with musical accompaniment from the 5th & 6th grades.

looking to volunteer?

Volunteering at May Fair is a wonderful way to support the school and create community connections. Whether you’re a musician, craftsperson, expert burger-flipper, or you’ve just got a pair of hands to lend, we’d love your support!
